All the World’s a Stage

QMS’ legacy of dramatic performances spans from comedies to dramas, the profound to the absurd, musicals to Shakespeare. Throughout the last 100 years, Queen Margaret’s School students have educated, reflected, entertained, engaged, questioned, and pushed boundaries each time they stepped onto stage.

The production of high-calibre dramas and stage performances has evolved at Queen Margaret’s School over the years. Indeed, the drama program at the School evolved from a need to fundraise money for projects such as the swimming pool and our beautiful heritage chapel.

Throughout the years, our School has provided opportunities for students to practice choral speech, study classical theatre, execute public speaking and spoken word poetry, and explore the dramatic arts. Each performance has created a unique learning experience for the students involved, developing new, deeper understandings of life, society and our commonly held beliefs.
